After 18 months of planning, we’re finally in our new home. There are still a few boxes to unpack but the great thing about having so much space is that you can take a bit more time in getting everything set up properly.

People say that after bereavement moving house is one of the most stressful things a person can do. Up until a week ago I was struggling to see why this was as all in all everything had gone pretty smoothly. BUT… (and this is a big but and I can not lie), I then had to start dealing with large corporations that control this countries electricity, gas & telephone infrastructure.
How on Earth do these places survive?
I’m amazed that they even exist with level of service they provide.

One important lesson I’ve learned this week, if you find yourself having to deal with a large corporation that has the word ‘British’ in its title and you are told “not to worry” by someone on the end of the phone. Start to worry and plan for the worst as your stress levels are about to go through the roof.

Time fly’s/flies…

So new year, new horizons & all that!

In an attempt to try and keep this blog updated whilst I have a spare 10 mins,I got engaged!!!

6th Dec, 2009 on a beach in Mauritius, towards the end of a fantastic holiday adventuring around the southern hemisphere. Becky you ARE awesome!!!
Back to London for the snow and a visit up to the Lake District for Christmas to visit t’old lad & lass.
Weird this year after the floods wiping out the town.

Back to life in London!

So went to see Mew last night in Shepards Bush. Really enjoyed it on the whole especially material from the new album. Their drummer and guitar player stole the show – AWESOME. Singer sounds a bit like a girl !!
